This module of learning is designed to give an overview of common conditions encountered in Paediatric Rehabilitation, how to manage these conditions in community, and how to manage emergencies.

It will cover how the PRS work as a multidisciplinary team and with staff in the community, the conditions that are seen by the PRS, and how these conditions are managed between the PRS and community teams.

Who is this program for?

This course is aimed at general paediatricians but would be suitable for any medical professionals who work with the PRS and would like to know how the PRS works in concert with you and to have an overview of the conditions seen by PRS staff.

What will I learn? 

Course learning outcomes:

• Understand how the multidisciplinary team of the Paediatric Rehabilitation Services work in concert with community medical staff to care for children and young people with rehabilitation needs
• Understand common paediatric rehabilitation conditions
• Understand when to refer to the PRS

What will I gain? 

Access will be granted for 365 days to complete the course. A completion certification will be awarded for 5 hours to self-submit for CPD recognition.
